The script was inspired by an old article from my friend Tim Urban, who runs “Wait but Why”, the best blog on the internet, make sure to check it out. waitbutwhy.com It’s so easy to get lost in your daily life: there are so many “urgent” and “annoying” things that you forget that actually every day is special, sort of. And even more so the days we have with friends and family. I know watching a video like this can hit pretty hard. But at least for me, the message it tries to convey does make me actually change my behavior. Reprioritize things. You know. Hope it had a similar effect for some of you. Also, if you want to track how many weeks off your life you have left or get a new perspective on this stuff, we’ve made a few posters you can check out. Getting something from our shop is the best way to support our channel. kgs.link/N3Ksfqvp In any case, call someone you haven’t called in a while today. And thank you for watching. - Philipp

I'm an ex neo-vedantic (hindu roots) new ager. I used to be into so much cosmic sh*t: channelings, ancient wisdom, gurus, psychedelics and mystics. I was enlightened then 6 years ago I got properly enlightened/converted by the *Holy Spirit* which showed what a fool I was. Spirit led me to the real *Yahshua/Jesus Christ* and everything changed. This is being born again. It escapes the notice of our self-obsessed and glamour soaked world but we're in a spiritual WAR for souls; the immensity of ignorance is astonishing: the dark powers bedazzling the minds of the masses. We've inherited an ancient spiritual subversion: the earth is fallen, the holistic fields of nature are fallen state - nothing is as was meant to be. Mankind is a spiritually fallen race highly prone to deceit and delusion. It's often remarked that hinduism, buddhism et al came long before Christ as if it's a valid point. But it ain't. Jesus came in the fullness of time, when He meant to in the course of history. As a new ager I didn't wanna believe but in the *Light of Spirit* Jesus really is the *Way, the truth and the Life* just like He said and He meant it literally: no one comes to God except through Jesus, there's no other way (Matthew 7:13-14). As a neo-vedantist I wasn't convinced but turns out the Bible is Spirit breathed, written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. Jesus is beautifully portrayed and endorsed in the new testament, in fact he's apparent in the old testament too (Luke 24:27 & 44) and by the *Light of Spirit* we're allowed to *see* that and *know Him.* The Bible is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. We're in the the end-times for real. It's serious sh*t. In a world obsessed by esoterism and "going within" Jesus is quite *exoteric* - He will come again from *without.* Satan's comin at us all guns blazing with notions of love and unity. But Jesus said He comes not to bring peace but a *sword* and with it He'll divide the world: the wheat from the tares, the goats from the sheep. There'll be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Jesus said we must be born again of *Spirit* to see the Kingdom of God.

man why'd y'all have to post this on my 24th birthday. just watched it now and cried at the "tail end" part. every day as of the past few months I keep thinking I've only lived like 8000~ days so far... which is such a small amount. days pass like nothing. tomorrow is the end of the week, and the day after that is also the end of the week. do you get me? we don't even appreciate daily life that much because sometimes we even look forward to days passing. salaries, vacations, etc. "I wish this week was over." life is just crazy. I had both a sad and happy cry. because life is hard and it sucks in a lot of ways but at least before my 5000~ weeks expire I'll have experienced *something.* which I guess is more than what the unborn can claim. guess the most relevant lesson from this video is to savour every living moment. and every stupid thing. and to always do what you want in goodwill and with love to the universe. and you'll die happy when you do, having known you haven't missed out. go do your thing champ. we got this!!

Honestly, the strange thing is that I realized I'd be seeing people for the last time within days, hours, or even mintues of it happening. I generally just ignore a good portion of it, because if I don't and don't find a replacement, I will literally be plagued with nigh-continuous regret for the forseable future. Otherwise, though. 5200 weeks actually doesn't sound like a short amount of time to be, any more than a little.

Setting aside that advice from this video is generally good, looking at life as week count is generally stupid. It suggests that you live to acquire some “well spend” time to look back at the end. And then what? Just die? Past is just a memory and moments aren’t equal, it’s plain dumb to count how many weeks you spend here or there. The moment you’re in is what matters. What is the meaning of life then? The life itself.

I will NEVER have the same physical capabilities I have now at 25 but I don’t have the resources to maximize its use (like going jungle trekking or dropping everything to do a cross country hike).
